Yoga, like any sport, instrument or hobby is a practice. It takes some time for any student to know the terminology, the movements and to feel proficient at the classes. We encourage our teens to stick with it and accept that they are new to something offering grace and kindness to themselves as they learn and see if they do indeed "like" yoga!
The classes and practice teach us to be patient with ourselves first, on and off the mat, then patient with others. Students learn to find the "just right challenge" physically and in time how to handle challenges off the yoga mat using the breathing techniques and mindset learned in classes.
If you would like to discuss the benefits of Teen Yoga more please give the studio a call... Leave a message if you receive our voicemail and one of our teen instructors will get back with you shortly!
We are happy to help!
