Children’s Series, Tween and Teen Fall Workshops begin in September!
September 24th 2:30pm – 4:00pm
These workshops will focus on three core elements of yoga: breathing, physical poses, and mindfulness. Teens will learn alignment and form in postures as well as experience a flow-sequenced class, while practicing with other teens. We begin by breaking down a few key poses, then have a vinyasa-flow practice incorporating those postures, followed by savasana and a mindfulness activity. Students can learn how to prevent injury and increase strength through proper form in their practice and take away mindfulness tools to use in their everyday lives. These workshops are a great addition to your teen’s busy schedule and their “life toolbox”.
September 17th 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Movement, and therefore yoga, is essential for fast-growing bodies. Yoga can also provide pre-teens with essential life tools such as self-esteem and confidence, inner and outer strength, attention and concentration, and heightened awareness of both oneself and others.

Movement, Mindfulness and Me Family Yoga is a group of teachers and therapists focusing on and certified in children’s yoga and mindfulness that has expanded to include chair yoga, adaptive yoga and other specialty areas!
As parents, therapists, educators, counselors, adult yogi’s, and people who just simply love to work with children, we work hard to provide a foundation of success for children and those teaching children, and yoga can be a big key to their success.
The benefits of yoga, teaching one to be aware of connecting body awareness, movement, emotions and more with their own breath, has been shown to improve self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-confidence both physically and emotionally! Studies also show improved attention, decrease anxiety, improved strength, balance, etc. & an increase in overall ease & health when practicing mindfulness and yoga postures!
Our teachers love being able to share the practice of yoga & mindfulness in a fun engaging way that reaches out and connects to the children, adults & entire families that participate in MMM’s classes. All of our children’s instructors hold not only their RYT (registered yoga teacher) but also the RCYT (registered children’s yoga teacher) certification and many of them have certifications with Mindful Schools and other higher education entities. All teachers are RYT’s registered with Yoga Alliance and each works in other capacities, therapists, nurses, etc. but all thoroughly enjoy teaching skills that our students can use to assist them in the life “off the mat” that we each face every-day!
About Our Practice
Founded by an occupational therapist in 2017, we provide yoga & mindfulness workshops to children as well as families, seniors and specialty interest groups. MMM was created to support the growing awareness of the benefits of yoga to children and families.
As a parent and pediatric therapist who found yoga later in life, our founder realized how important sharing the practice of yoga with children could be. Combining a love for every type of kooky kid behaviors with the grounded understanding of yoga, Movement Mindfulness and Me was born within a local school system in 2017.
Once interest took hold, and local adults were interested the next step was easy… Bring kids yoga to the community we love and live in! We were surprised at first when we were also asked to teach to local specialty populations but WHY NOT? Yoga & Mindfulness can benefit nearly everyone can it not? It is not limited to any one group of persons!

We are happy to provide MMM’s signature “Someone Who Loves Me and Me” to both pre-schoolers and middle school ages alike, our “Young Yogis” children’s, tween and TEEN ONLY! Workshops, as well as workshops for caregivers/ parents.
We are also happy to staff tween and TEEN yoga, chair yoga, gentle yoga, yoga for dementia/memory care & yoga for those with different abilities within various locations in our communities including therapy offices, day centers, schools and pre-schools!
Most sessions occur within the setting of existing yoga studios in the greater Fort Mill area or within other programs such as libraries, senior centers, pre-schools, private schools, as well as neighborhood community centers etc. We work with our groups to provide classes and workshops within the space most natural to them.

Children & Tween Yoga & Mindfulness Programming
Hour long classes (Aug- June) and Summer Camps (Mornings June- August). Children participate in yoga-based games/activities and mindfulness lessons that, with practice, improve self- awareness, awareness of others, and ability to self-regulate. Through practice, just like any sport or musical instrument, these social-emotional skills become more automatic and occur more naturally in daily life.
A comfortable studio space is provided where one can explore yoga. As a beginner or someone returning to yoga after a time away you will find a supportive and nurturing environment. We encourage you to meet your body where it is each time you come to your mat and to love its movements and abilities as you expand your practice. Modifications are provided and teachers encourage the use of props during practice. Props support the body and assist in providing the “just right” challenge. We encourage meeting your edge without pain or discomfort while discovering the ease of expanding both the physical and mental body.
