Postures in the practice of yoga help us reach a higher state of health and well-being. The movement patterns in yoga have been shown to improve strength, stability, balance, digestion/elimination, immunity and overall feelings of well being! The use of a chair or any other yoga prop facilitates this according to our body’s personal structure and ability. The chair allows for many to improve their postural alignment the basis for each subtle movement within the class. The use of a chair can minimize the activity of the mind (often expressed as concern about stability, strength, balance, etc.) by allowing time to integrate the posture from the inside out as well as experiencing the ease and steadiness of the form with the support of the chair beneath the body. “Stress Reduction Through Mindfulness” SRTM Fall 4 week session begins this Sunday 10/18 at 3:30pm. 3 spaces remain in this fantastic class! Join a registered and certified instructor for this hour long session each Sunday afternoon for 4 weeks (This class rotates with a Teen Yoga Flow class every 4 weeks). Participants will enjoy a class helping them learn to be “Calm, Centered and Connected” through learning and experiencing mindfulness’s techniques and practices presented at a level just right for teens!
