Class Descriptions
Introduction to Vinyasa Flow
An introductory yoga class where postures are taught in a safe and supportive manner, incorporating the basic principles of alignment, breathing and the use of props. Class is a combination of a gentle, mindful flow and poses. Through the practice of yoga, flexibility, strength, balance and focus are developed. From this body and mental awareness, a healthy new lifestyle can be achieved. Modifications are provided to allow each student to find their own perfect blend of challenge and balance.
Beginner to Intermediate levels
Slow Flow
A Vinyasa Flow class taught to increase your mind to body awareness. This class blends gently-paced poses and sequenced flows with breath work and guided meditation to reduce stress and help balance the mind and body. You will not only learn how to use different parts of your body to build strength and flexibility, but also how to use breath and movement to release stress and build mental clarity. You will be guided through sequences with mindful transitions, challenged to work to your highest and have the space to take variations.
Beginner friendly -Mixed levels
Mixed Level Vinyasa Flow
This invigorating class is designed to link rhythmic breath with movement, while keeping a focus on proper alignment. Portions of the class flow through the primary standing poses, while others slow to settle deeply into static poses. Students are encouraged to find the challenge that’s right for them as they embrace an increased level of strength, toning, flexibility, balance and mental clarity in sun salutations, peak poses and deep stretches – all with the intention of cultivating balance in mind and body. Appropriate for students with yoga experience and mindful beginners.
Mixed Level
Lunch Break Power Flow
An efficient 45-50 minute class – cultivating a very strong practice with well-designed sequencing to achieve wonderful results. The class takes the physical challenging components from Ashtanga and Vinyasa roots – always balancing flowing rhythmic movement that are connected to the breath. All Power Flow classes are warmed to 79-80 degrees to cultivate transformation through exposure to heat.
Appropriate for beginner to intermediate yoga students desiring challenge and balance in their practice.
Gentle Yoga – Therapeutic Inspired
This class blends gently-paced poses with breath work and guided meditation to reduce stress and help balance the mind and body. It is particularly effective for those who prefer a more mindful practice or are recovering from or living with injury and illness. Modifications and props are used to support individual needs.
All levels, beginners, prenatal welcome.
Power Flow Plus
The first 60 minutes of this 90-minute class provides an energetic Vinyasa inspired practice focused on flowing rhythmic movements that are connected to the breath cultivating a very strong practice with well-designed intelligent sequencing to achieve wonderful results. Students will move through sun salutations, add challenge to basic poses and progress to more advanced poses while cultivating the mind body connection. This class takes the physical challenging components from Ashtanga and Vinyasa roots – always balancing flowing rhythmic movement that are connected to the breath. *All Power Flow classes are warmed to 79-80 degrees to cultivate transformation through exposure to heat.
The remaining 30 minutes of this class is a combination of a gentle, mindful flow and restorative poses aimed at releasing all stress and worries. We will let go of all the built-up tension in our body and mind and bring it back to its natural state of peace and calmness. Join us as we release the stress from the hectic week and rejuvenate with some much-needed self-care before returning to daily life and the remainder of the week.
Mixed levels – students wishing to advance their practice and intermediate yoga students desiring challenge and balance in their practice.
